INITIAL CONSULTATIONS
All initial phone consultations are at no cost.
On-site walk-through consultations are for pending clients only.
On-site consultations are limited to one hour.
On-site consultations are free for areas local to Lexington.
For locations outside the "local" area, either a fee will be charged for the consultation which will be applied toward the first session, or a free consultation can be conducted via photographs and phone or by web cam.
The on-site consultation is only an assessment. The client will be given a rough estimate on the amount of time it will take to complete the project and options for how to approach the project. Pricing will be discussed as well as scheduling options. Solutions to specific problems will not be discussed at this time. For session options, visit the Services page.
SESSIONS
Sessions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Regularly repeating sessions may be scheduled in advance, and any session may be scheduled as far in advance as desired.
On-site organizing sessions require a minimum number of hours, dependent upon the client's location: 3 hours for Lexington and surrounding areas, 4 hours or more for locations further away.
Additional time beyond the minimum for each session is at the client's discretion. The client may request additional time during the scheduled session, however, availability cannot be guaranteed. Planning ahead is always a good idea.
Except in specific situations, I usually require the client be present and actively involved in the organizing session. The absence of the client during a session must be specifically planned and negotiated.
The clock does not stop running during the session. Please arrange for our time to be uninterrupted and be prepared to begin work as soon as I arrive.
Long breaks are off the clock only when discussed and agreed upon ahead of time and are usually only part of a long session, for example: a six hour session with a meal break after the first 3 hours. Otherwise, short (5 or 10 minute) breaks are on the clock.
Cleanup usually begins between 10 and 30 minutes prior to the end of the session, depending upon how much stuff there is to deal with.
Please make every effort to keep the appointment. However, if the client must cancel an appointment, cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the start of the session will be charged $150. If the circumstances are extreme, the fee may be waived at my discretion.
FEES & PAYMENTS
Hourly rates are determined by the client’s location.
Sessions are charged by a fee for a mininimum number of hours, dependent upon client location.
The minimum fee is still due even if the client decides not to use the full number of minimum hours.
Hours in addition to the session minimum are billed at the pre-determined hourly rate.
Payment is due in full at the end of each session.
Payment for phone or webcam sessions is required prior to the session.
Forms of payment accepted: Cash, Check and Paypal. Paypal payments include an additional fee to cover processing charges.
Shopping for supplies is charged at an hourly rate. There are no mark-ups on the supplies purchased and the client keeps a copy of the product receipt. Payment for shopping fees is collected at the next session or by mail or Paypal if the next session is more than 2 weeks away from the previous session.
There are no additional fees charged for donation drop-offs; this is covered by the session rates. A donation receipt will be mailed to the client or given at the next session.
Any bounced checks will incur a $35 fee and reimbursement of any overdraft charges.
Travel fees for long-distance travel are determined on a case-by-case basis, however in most cases the travel fees for short-distance travel are covered by the hourly fees.
Please make every effort to keep the appointment. However, if the client must cancel an appointment, cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the start of the session will be charged $150. If the circumstances are extreme, the fee may be waived at my discretion.

However, a written contract of confidentiality can be provided in any case the client desires it.
