![]() Child's Bedroom #1
Before This child's bedroom was being used as a playroom and a toy storage area, and the child wasn't even sleeping in it at the time we began work. The parents' goal was to get the child back into her room and allow her enough space for storage and play as well.
After Moving the bed to the opposite corner really opened up the room and created a larger feel to the space. The area under the loft bed was set up as a play area and storage center with a bookshelf next to it, under the window. Since the (yellow) door to the bathroom couldn't be blocked, it made sense to use that corner as additional storage and to keep that path open. The play school center was arranged in the corner formerly occupied by the bed, and we didn't get into the wardrobe as there were already plans to replace it soon. Surprisingly, the little girl was very enthusiastic about helping mom and me with the purging process. She was decisive about getting rid of things, and has not only been good about keeping her room organized, but has since refused to allow any new clutter into her room!
